PRIVACY
Private by architecture
Draft. This policy is pending legal review before
public launch. Everything below reflects how the software actually behaves today.
What stays on your machine
- Your documents. Files you add are read from disk and indexed locally; the index lives in memory and originals are never copied into the application or uploaded.
- Rehearsal history. Interview scorecards persist in a local file under your user profile, per Knowledge Space, and never leave the device.
- Credentials. Provider keys are stored in OS-backed secure storage — DPAPI on Windows, Keychain on macOS — with no plaintext fallback anywhere.
What leaves your machine, and when
- When a question is answered or an interview is generated or graded, the question, the few retrieved excerpts needed, and (in rehearsal) your answer transcript are sent to the AI provider you configured — never the whole corpus, and never to anyone else.
- When voice is on, audio streams to the transcription provider you configured for speech-to-text, and question text is sent there for the interviewer's voice.
- Nothing else. There is no analytics beacon, no telemetry, and no BeInvestorReady server in the data path today.
What is never written down
Transcripts, questions, answers, screenshots, document text, and provider responses are never written to logs or diagnostics. Diagnostics carry states and counters only.
Your controls
Privacy Lock — one keystroke — aborts capture, listening, retrieval, and generation, clears the screen, and stays locked until you resume. Deleting a credential revokes it immediately for the next request.
